Meet Elladj Baldé

Elladj Baldé is revolutionary. As a Canadian figure skating veteran with over 15 years of competitive experience on the world stage, he is now one of the most sought-after professional skaters in the world today, renowned for his innovative and soulful approach to his craft, dynamic infusion of dance, and his innate musicality and charisma both on and off the ice. Elladj remains the first Black male figure skater to join the cast of Stars on Ice Canada, and the first Black skater, male or female, to join since 1992. Elladj hopes young BIPOC skaters can look to him to feel like there is a place for them on the ice.

Stay tuned for Elladj's episode of Be Revolutionary to learn more about him, how he is paving the way for a more inclusive sport with his organization Skate Global Foundation, and what makes him revolutionary.

Meet Taylor Lindsay-Noel

Taylor Lindsay-Noel is revolutionary. 15 years ago she was a Canadian national gymnast, but under the coercion of her coach she had a devastating accident that instantly paralyzed her from the neck down for life. Despite this setback, she persevered, and today, Taylor is not only the founder of the tea company, Cup of Té, but also a motivational speaker, disability advocate (@accessbytay) and proud board member of the Holland Bloorview Foundation.

Stay tuned for Taylor's episode of Be Revolutionary to learn more about her, the essential role of Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital in her journey, and what makes her revolutionary.

In the same year she was the creator of "Music Is My Medicine", a symphonic work which was performed by the National Arts Centre Orchestra.
